Our Educational Programs

Our mission is to support your children to be their best self. We plan our experiences based on each child’s emerging interests and development. The planning involves our dedicated educators observing, gathering and interpreting information about the children, in order to prepare experiences and environments that are engaging and meaningful to the children at our centre.

We value our families input into the program and curriculum, and we encourage you to share any educational and play based activities that your child enjoys so that we can incorporate them into our programs. We use an online app to communicate each child’s learning and development back to the families and to show snapshots of the day here at Little Giggles on our Kinderm8 app. To find out more about our day to day activities you can check out our Facebook page.

Entertaining Education

Start your child's learning journey early and help them be school ready

Playful math, science and literacy games create a dynamic environment where children not only learn key educational principles but also develop a love for learning.

For early stage Maths this includes:

  • arranging building blocks to understand basic concepts of geometry,

  • participating in group activities that involve sorting and categorising, and

  • learning numbers and counting from 1 to 100.

In the realm of Science, this includes:

  • nature experiments like seasonal planting of seeds and observing the stages of plant growth, and

  • conducting simple chemistry experiments with safe and age-appropriate materials.

For English, this includes:

  • regular reading and listening activities,

  • guiding little hands in writing the ABC's, and

  • literacy learning in English and new languages. We embrace the language diversity of our community through vocabulary-building games and song using the Ella Program.

This hands-on approach enhances fine motor skills and helps children familiarise themselves with the building blocks of written language, setting the stage for future reading and writing success.

Fostering Imaginative Play

Ignite your child's spark of creativity

Our Pretend and Imaginative Play curriculum is designed to fuel your child's imagination and foster holistic development. In our vibrant and engaging environment, children are encouraged to create imaginative worlds with their centre friends, promoting social and emotional development as they explore different roles and perspectives. Our curriculum is designed to nurture artistic exploration with arts and crafts activities and music based learning.

Your children will develop problem-solving skills through imaginative play, learn to cooperate with peers, and build a foundation for effective communication. Our dedicated educators facilitate these activities, ensuring a balance between structured play and unstructured exploration, allowing children to express themselves freely and discover the boundless possibilities of their imagination. Your child will learn social and life schools such as being a good friend and sibling, respecting others’ feelings, hygiene and environmental awareness.

Build healthy eating and lifestyle habits

Early childhood is the ideal time for children to develop and practice healthy eating and physical activity habits; this includes learning a range of fundamental movement skills that will help children take part in and enjoy physical activity throughout their lives.

Children spend a substantial amount of time in early childhood settings including preschools, long day care services and family day care services. Because so many children attend these services, they provide ideal settings to increase awareness of appropriate physical activity and healthy eating habits. Learning how to feed yourself, pack away lunches and what healthy food looks like are all essential skills that our teachers value as part of school readiness.

Establishing sound eating and activity habits from an early age gives children the best chance of leading a healthy life and maintaining a healthy weight. Munch & Move supports the NSW Government’s priority of preventing childhood overweight and obesity.

Little Giggles is a Munch & Move accredited service. Our Educators have undertaken the Munch & Move training to ensure our educational programs incorporate the healthy eating and activity guidelines. Our goal for the children is for them to have healthy attitudes towards food and exercise.

Cute Girl Eating Apple

We love Little Giggles Early Learning Centre. Within weeks of our daughter starting here we noticed a significant improvement in her vocabulary and communication skills. Every week we find ourselves surprised and impressed with the knowledge and skills she has learnt at preschool. There is always new and exciting activities and projects happening.
